She started her baking career at a young age: cleaning the bowl. Her mother would involve her in some of the baking process, but most was learned from watching the expert work. 



Lauren has no formal culinary training, but a Chemical Biology degree from UC Berkeley, allowing for delicious consequences.  She moved to Vail, Colorado with her fiancee for a change of scenery in 2010. She worked in hospitality after arriving to Vail, realizing the front desk wasn’t for her. She worked for Restaurant Kelly Liken under the pastry chef in the fall of 2011, prior to opening Mountain Cupcakes in Vail Village in June of 2012.
